The Only Fully Polynesian-Owned Hotel Collection in French Polynesia
Pearl Resorts of Tahiti privately owns and runs four hotels across three archipelagos, plus a fifth address, Vahine Private Island, on a private motu off Taha'a. That ownership shows up on the ground. Every property runs on a shared environmental charter the group calls P.R.O.T.E.C.T, or Eco-Caring Together, and both Le Bora Bora and Le Taha'a maintain their own Biorock coral restoration programs, where guests can snorkel alongside resident marine biologists working to regrow damaged reef.
The four properties are all different in their own way.
Le Bora Bora occupies its own motu with 107 bungalows and villas split across eight categories, all facing Mount Otemanu, and was recently inducted into Relais & Châteaux.
Le Taha'a earned that same distinction first in French Polynesia back in 2004, and builds its identity around a double-hulled canoe motif that runs from the reception to the shape of the bathtubs in its overwater suites.
Le Tikehau is the only boutique hotel in the Tuamotu Archipelago, tucked onto a private coral islet behind a pink-sand beach. Le Nuku Hiva trades the lagoon entirely for a mountainside lodge above Taiohae Bay, in the most remote archipelago on the planet.

Bora Bora is the picture-perfect postcard: dramatic peaks, a lagoon built for overwater bungalows, and the easiest connections in the collection. One island over, Taha'a invites a client to slow down in exchange for more quiet and more design detail.

Le Bora Bora sits on its own motu, Motu Tevairoa, a 20-minute electric shuttle boat ride from Bora Bora's airport and just 5 minutes from the Chancelade base on the main island. Its 107 bungalows and villas are split across eight categories, from garden and beach villas with private plunge pools to the overwater bungalows Bora Bora is famous for.
The Royal Beach Villa stands apart for group bookings: 436 square meters (4,696 sq ft) at the end of the beach, with two bedrooms each holding its own bathroom and private pool, a shared 171 square meter (1,841 sq ft) living space, and a kitchen with chef service available on request.
Three restaurants range from Otemanu's elevated buffet breakfasts and starlit dinners to Poerava, a 16-guest gourmet room built around 3- or 5-course tasting menus. Taha'a has no airport of its own, so guests fly into neighboring Raiatea and take a 35-minute boat transfer to Le Taha'a's private islet, Motu Tautau, or a 5-minute ride if arriving from Tapuamu village on Taha'a itself. It's held Relais & Châteaux status since 2004, the first property in French Polynesia to earn it, and has since added Two MICHELIN Keys to that. The honor shows in details most resorts wouldn't bother with: the reception is built to echo a traditional boathouse, and even the overwater suites' bathtubs take their shape from a canoe.
